Al-Irshād Maktab Program
Foundations of Faith for Young Hearts
A structured, nurturing Islamic education program designed to build strong īmān, correct Qur’anic foundations, and beautiful character — within a safe, disciplined, and caring environment.
About the Maktab
The Al-Irshād Maktab Program is a weekday Islamic learning program dedicated to providing children with a sound and lasting foundation in Islam during their most formative years.
Our Aim
This is not merely a place to “learn lessons,” but a space where children are shaped in belief, manners, discipline, and love for Allah and His Messenger ﷺ.
We focus not only on what children learn, but who they become.
Eligibility
- Age Range: 6–15 years
- Gender: Boys only (currently)
- Grouping: By ability and maturity (not age alone)
- Placement: Basic assessment for new students
Curriculum We Follow
Our curriculum is intentionally structured for clarity, progression, and long-term tarbiyah.
Islamic Studies
We use the An-Nasihah Islamic Studies Syllabus (UK) as our core Islamic Studies framework, ensuring a clear, age-appropriate progression across essential topics.
Duʿā Memorisation
We follow the Taʿlīmī Board KZN (South Africa) for duʿā memorisation and daily practice, focusing on correct wording, meaning, and application.
Qur’an Foundations
Students progress through a guided Qur’an pathway: letter recognition → fluency → accuracy in makhārij → basic tajwīd foundations — with consistent revision.
