About the Course
Composed in the fourth Islamic century, Al-Qaṣīdah al-Khāqāniyyah is widely regarded as the earliest surviving poem devoted specifically to the science of Tajwīd. Its fifty-one verses provide a remarkable window into the early development of precise Qur’ānic recitation.
During this intensive course, students will study the complete poem verse by verse, with fully vocalised Arabic text, fluent English translation, historical explanation, classical commentary, and practical application to Qur’ānic recitation.
